Finding a dressmaker

I'm fed up with boring clothes that never quite meet the ticket.
I've decided to invest in just a couple of suits and decent coat to see me straight for the next 3-5 years and although I sew pretty well myself I'd rather find a good dressmaker.

Most of the traders advertising online seem to be bridal but has anyone else sourced a good dressmaker in London or the SE, or alternatively the North West that they could recommend

Thanks

I was just going to say to sew them yourself. There is a bit of a thing for it in my office at the moment and people are making some lovely clothes that are original and in great fabrics. If you want to get something made that is just that bit different why not put an advert on a notice board in an arty cafe or craft shop? I suspect if you are in a university town there might be some fashion students who would be interested.
