Jeggings that behave like jeans

Please help me find the holy grail of jeggings or stretch jeans.
I want a natural or high waist, a thick waistband, enough stretch that I can be as comfortable as wearing jeggings but I'd like them to be slightly looser. I would like to roll them up and wear with ankle boots so I'd like the interior to be paler coloured. I'm a 14/16 if that makes a difference.

Asda George do brilliant ones with thick elastic waistband in lots of colours. They're are £12.50 I think. They are great for that price.

If you need bootcut version of above I can recommend ‘erin’ ones on Crazy Clearance in the indigo colourway. I think they are on there as these are true to size instead of usual Simply be vanity sizing. They are £7. NIce high waist and look like jeans with comfortable stretch -they don’t go baggy.

I have tried the lighter wash but they are cut bigger and look frumpy. The indigo ones though are super flattering and look good with converse/Birkies etc.

I have stockpiled as fed up with skinnies and like the look for a change.

I love H&M's £8.99 jeggings. They have a button and zip fastening like normal jeans. Very comfortable and come in a variety of colours. not low waisted. I have 4 pairs in various colours. So far nothing has ripped, split or went baggy at the knees

pangolina · 16/01/2019 16:18

River Island Molly jeggings. I love them. I have them in about 5 colours

peefear · 16/01/2019 17:52

Levi 724 are my holy grail and I think they meet your requirements. Their sale might still be on, got an email about it the other week.

BrusselPout · 16/01/2019 17:53

Dorothy Perkins are my go to

LoudBatPerson · 16/01/2019 17:57

I am wearing Next Sculpt jeggings right now. They are much thicker than most of the jeggings on the high street, have a decent thick and comfy waistband and are very soft.

Unfortunately not really a lighter colour side but the ankle certainly has room to roll them up without them cutting into your legs.

As it is Next the sizing is quite generous so they are not too tight making them very comfy for me as I do like a looser fit.

They are £22 a pair and there is a few colours to choose from.

I found the Molly leggings bagged quite badly around the knees @pangolina

I love the Holly leggings from Red Herring at Debenhams. Do lots of the things tour asking for, don't bag, comfy as leggings but as styled as jeans.

rookiemere · 16/01/2019 18:04

Mint Velvet Atlanta jeggings are fab. Bit more expensive so I only buy when there's a discount

chapthedoor · 16/01/2019 20:23

Second the Next ones. I got them on recommendation from here and they're so comfortable and look good. I got two pairs

LadyOfTheCanyon · 16/01/2019 20:30

Dorothy Perkins Eden leggings are good( and cheap). Don't bag on me, hold their colour well and have a nice strong waistband. They dont have a different colour lining though.

F&F jeggings in indigo have a paler inside, I like them as well. £18 I think.

BeefPho · 16/01/2019 22:07

Seconding George at Asda, comfy but look good too.

Polly1977 · 16/01/2019 22:22

Thirding Asda they are amazing

BlueSatsuma · 17/01/2019 07:49

@rookiemere would you describe the Mint Velvet jeggings as soft?

rookiemere · 17/01/2019 09:22

bluesatsuma yes nice and soft but only the original denim coloured ones

chipsandgin · 17/01/2019 09:26

Now I want some of those Mint Velvet Atlanta’s, must stop reading Style & Beauty threads, not good for my bank balance! The H&M ones are good though - I’ve got a few pairs for everyday, very comfortable & wash well.

Gogreen · 17/01/2019 16:41

Asda ones are brilliant!!! I fifth it!

notapizzaeater · 17/01/2019 16:43

Pep and co ones from Poundland are actually really really good

madeyemoodysmum · 17/01/2019 16:54

Dotty p here to. Tho I have few sainsbos pairs but the high waist Dorothy p ones are my absolute faves

Veterinari · 17/01/2019 17:00

I agree - I bought some DP ones in the sale thinking they were jeans - super comfy

Madratlady · 17/01/2019 17:03

Dorothy Perkins ones are the only jeans I wear these days, very comfy and a great fit

Fashionista101 · 17/01/2019 17:04

M&S are fabbbbbbb

iloveredwine · 17/01/2019 17:20

next ones here too and they have lots of colours/ shades of denim

fartfacemcfartfaceface · 17/01/2019 17:27

Another vote for next jeggings I have them in several colours and love them.

supergrains · 17/01/2019 19:52

M&S are good, no fly/button which I like, and a fairly wide elastic waistband, which I find really comfortable, but they are on the expensive side compared to some of the others mentioned on this thread.
