leopard print dress

I don't even like leopard print...never have...I am more of a neutral play it safe kinda style.

However I had a wee lunchtime spree and bought the dress below. I just really liked it (I blame the pie crust/frill neck collar...I am a sucker for those)

How do I wear it without looking like Kat Slater? i was thinking thick black tights and black boots? Or plain black heels for a night out?

Or should I just chicken out and return it??

Black tights and black boots sound fab. Don't return it! It's really nice, and it's good to step out your comfort zone

Thank you! i will try it on tonight with tights and see what I think (it just kind of got thrown on over the top of my thermal vest and jeans at in the changing room at lunchtime)

That’s lovely OP! Definitely think black tights and ankle boots will give it an edgy look.
Personally, I think the Kat Slater/Bet Lynch look usually consists of a wrap dress in a deep v, possibly with a split up the side. So you’re safe!

I have this dress and have never worn leopard print before either! I’ve worn it with strappy gold heels for a special night out and also been out shopping with it, black tights, boots and a leather jacket. It’s quite versatile I feel.

It's lovely! As a pp said. You can dress that up or down. Plus the shape is too tasteful/conservative (?) To be remotely Kat Slater. As another pp said, hers would have boobage on parade! Grin

Well... I have it on today....at work! Thick black tights. I had my wedge ankle boots laid out to go with but it is blooming freezing here today so changed for knee highs....only problem is by fail safe black ones as I was putting on I noticed the heel stud bit has come off so I ended up wearing some very deep plum knee highs....which sounds like they really shouldn't go but they actually look really nice! I am glad I stuck with it! trying to be less "fail safe" all the time!

Think it's really nice. Not remotely Kat Slater-like.

I saw someone wearing a leopard dress yesterday with plain white trainers which looked cool and was a nice contrast maybe for when it's warmer where you are tho'!
