Has anyone purchased Biore Watery Essence on Amazon? Is it genuine? I can't find any UK other sites selling it.

Unusually buy from eBay. It's genuine

Notreallyhere2 · 15/01/2019 18:36

I bought mine from yes style. Quite quick delivery though. And lots of other cheap Korean/Japanese interesting beauty stuff to chuck in the basket too.

Lottapianos · 15/01/2019 18:38

I buy from eBay or Amazon and I'm very happy with it

LittleBot178 · 15/01/2019 19:13

I got mine from Amazon, presume it’s genuine! Was in the proper packaging at least. Not sure I like it to be honest, it’s rather tacky and shiny and balls up under my foundation. Does anyone have any alternative suggestions?

XingMing · 15/01/2019 20:21

It's great. I think LittleBot178 might need to wait a few minutes before doing make up to avoid the tackiness and balling.

Elledorado · 15/01/2019 21:46

Littlebot, I used to use Biore but then changed to LRP melt in cream - it's perfect under makeup

JDSTER · 15/01/2019 21:55

Amazon or eBay fine for Biore. They come in sealed packaging. I actually prefer Biore bright milk SPF50. It has a lovely finish, more like a primer but without feeling like a film on top of the skin, if that makes sense.

LittleBot178 · 15/01/2019 22:11

Thanks for the recommendations Elle and JD will give those a shot. I didn’t wear make up today and the watery essence was pilling all day, even on the bits where I hadn’t put any other products...just don’t think it’s for me!

Notreallyhere2 · 16/01/2019 08:05

That’s so weird littlebit178 mine literally goes on like water feeling and then I don’t notice it all day at all, no pilling or anything. It’s rare for me as spf usually feels like I’ve put tar on my face! I guess different skin types react differently to it.

Notreallyhere2 · 16/01/2019 08:06

littlebot178 sorry typo in your name!

BarelyHeathrow · 16/01/2019 08:09

It's the only thing I've found that doesn't ball under BB cream.

I buy from Amazon.

BagelGoesWalking · 16/01/2019 11:09

I'm on a few groups and These are ones I’ve seen recommended time after time:
😎Biore Aqua Watery Essence (does contain some alcohol, so maybe not for drier skin).
😎Nivea Water Gel spf 50 (also contains alcohol so some dislike)
😎La Roche Posay Anthelios facial mist or ultra fluid lotion
😎Etude House Mild Airy (or Mild Watery for drier skin) Finish SunPrise spf 50 PA+++
😎Missha All Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk SPF50+/PA+++
😎 Make P:R.E.M. UV Defense Me SPF50
😎Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel SPF50 PA++++ (no alcohol)
😎COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50 PA+++, 50ml
😎ROHTO Skin Aqua Super Moisture Milk SPF50 PA ++++ 40ml
😎Shiseido Anessa perfect UV sunscreen SPF 50+ pa++++
😎Innisfree Triple Protection UV sunscreen SPF50 PA++++
😎 Australian Gold Botanicals SPF 50 Broad Spectrum Mineral Lotion
😎Coola, Heliocare & Elta MD are also mentioned often

I buy via eBay but only from Japanese or Korean sellers, avoid China and Taiwan.

I like Etude House Mild Watery and also their Soon Jung Defence sunscreen, but mostly Avène tinted sunscreen (the untinted has an awful white cast) as it's like a light concealer/bb cream.

ALTRUIST is another good one, only sold on Amazon. I tend to use on body more as it's cheap but I've seen ppl say the 30spf spray is good for the face.

ahagwearsapointybonnet · 16/01/2019 11:20

I love it, have bought it from both Amazon and Ebay but I do check reviews of sellers very carefully first, as I've been stung with other fake products before (though not with this).

LittleBot your description actually makes me wonder whether yours could be a fake though, as it just sounds so far from my experience of it? Mine literally just disappears into my skin so there's nothing "there" to pill or ball - like a relatively watery moisturiser - and is then invisible (this is part of why I love it!).

When I ended up with fakes of other things they had copied the packaging too - not an exact copy, but close enough that I wasn't quite certain until I tried the product, and luckily it was something I'd used before and the fake was different enough to be certain it was wrong! (Especially the smell, I have a good nose and it seems to be difficult to match the smells exactly so that's often the giveaway for me). If I hadn't used those things before it would have been much harder to be sure though.
