Coated leggings or jeans? Do they work if bigger?

I like the look of coated leggings or jeans but am I deluding myself as I'm a size 14/16 and would only really wear them with Chelsea boots or long boots and longish jumper or blouses. Also, any recommendations for nice flattering ones out there?

I think they can be fine for anyone if worn with the right stuff. A nice chunky knit jumper or oversized linger jumper would work well, they are also nice with trainers so no need to limit to wearing with boots.
I have the Mint Velvet ones with are faux leather leggings and a pair of coated black skinny jeans from Vero Moda, the Vero Moda ones are nicer and don't show knicker lines and wobbly bottom bits! Mint velvet ones are fine worn with anything covering by bum.
Lots of people on here like the next ones but I haven't tried them personally.

I have these high waisted coated jeans in burgundy from New Look and I'm a size 14, 28 leg. I find them comfy and have worn them with a plain black t shirt and black heeled sandals
