Are these boots mendable? I'm gutted!

I managed to break the zip on my trusty Ugg Wilcox yesterday and they're sold out everywhere. Im DEVASTATED!

I don't know the limitations of repairs that cobblers can do - could they sort this?

Ugg website has phone number and email address for customer queries - you could try asking them for advice.

It’s just a zip. Take it to a good cobbler and get it replaced.

You may well have to contact Ugg and ask them. My local cobbler wouldn't touch my Emus without permission from them. Something to do with the licence

I had a zip go on a pair of boots before, cobbler said he would have to replace zips on both boots I order to match and actually it would have been nearly as expensive as buying a new pair of boots.
Got to be worth asking though.

Same as PP. Cobbler told me he couldn't do it, but a more specialist place in town could-- but it'd cost the same as a new pair basically.

I had a zip replaced on some bits recently, cost me £30 for one zip. They've matched the other zip exactly and I've got my boots back.

Si1ver · 13/01/2019 17:15

Boots not bits.

The zip has gone on my Ugg Wilcox in EXACTLY the same way.

I took them to my local Timpsons who told me because of the size of the zip, it comes under the category of 'heavy / biker' zip, which is nearly £60. And that's if they can find a zip to match.

Mine are still hanging on in there, I'm just really gentle with them when I do them up or undo them. If you really wanted to fix it then you can try getting in touch with Ugg.

They don't make or sell them anymore, and they're rarer than rocking horse shit on eBay. Sad
