Anyone made their own sea salt hairspray?

I've recently had my hair cut short and choppy. I've read some good things about sea salt sprays and come across a few recipes to make it yourself. I've never used a salt spray before. Has anyone had experience with the commercial varieties and homemade? What was your recipe and did it work well?

Ooh that sounds a good idea. I use a pre-made one (Toni and guy, pale blue bottle). Smells lovely and they do a mini one so you can test it out

Thx TiddleTaddleTat. I've heard of Toni and guy. I'll probably give it a go if homemade stuff doesn't work well. I love hair stuff that smells nice so that's a bonus. I'll copy and paste the recipe from Cosmopolitan online magazine if you want to try it. I'm going to buy the soda water and sea salt next couple of days and give it a go.

You might have a salt spray that you love, but if you don't or you want to create some texture in a pinch, celebrity stylist Ryan Trygstad recommends mixing together 20 ounces of seltzer water and a teaspoon of sea salt in a spray bottle to make your own ocean spritz at home.
