Anyone have one? Is it worth it? Does it really dry hair quicker and make it smoother or is that totally dependent on the skill of the person wielding it?

I got one for Christmas and it just blows hot air the same as any other decent hairdryer. Didn't get the attachments.

I find it dries my hair much quicker than my old Parlux but I diffuse my curly hair , cuts my drying time from 20 minutes and still not dry to about 6 minutes and dry, so worth the money for me .
I tried to use it to dry my hair straight but I am useless with a brush and dryer and the result was not great and certainly no better than a normal dryer.

I did get in from QVC cos it was 4 easy payment thingy and no postage ,you can return within 30 days , you can also return to Dyson within 30 days as well if you buy from their site.

Its quieter, lighter and a shorter nozzle end, comparing it to my parlux 3200 compact and makes me arms ache less while drying. But I have timed both and it doesn't actually dry my hair any quicker.

I got one for Xmas. I have fine hair that dries quickly so it hasn’t cut drying time much for me. However my hair is much smoother and looks more styled, to the extent that a couple of people have asked if I have had my hair done. I’m happy with it, although don’t know if I would have spent the money if it hadn’t been a present!

There was a review done in style and beauty when they first came out.

Review: Dyson Supersonic vs Parlux 3200 Compact http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/styleandd_beauty/2652845-Review-Dyson-Supersonic-vs-Parlux-3200-Compact

I have one and really rate it.

I have a shoulder injury and I find the lightness, the fact that the weight is in the handle and not above my head and the faster drying time SOOOOOO much better than my old dryer (which was the Remington copy version - don't fall for it, btw - it's crap.) I have to say, in my case, it was money well-spent. I do wish I had held out for the airwrap, though! ( bought it about two weeks before that was brought out!)
