Giant easy to carry overnight bag

Liveinthepresent · 09/01/2019 17:45

Help ! My poor back has had enough of the huge Samsonite backpack I use for my regular overnight work trips. It’s so heavy I really need a better solution. I travel to and then across London with a 20 minute walk at the end and for an overnight stay regularly.

Can anyone recommend anything better ?
The wheelie bags are great but not so good on the tube or walking London streets in rush hour !

Thanks

How much stuff are you carrying? I travel light and just use a large tote bag with change of clothes, toiletries and cosmetics.

Thanks for the reply - I seem to have to carry tons of stuff . It’s really heavy I can’t even imagine a tote being possible

Laptop
Work phone
Personal phone
Note pad
3 chargers for above devices
Battery power bank for phones
Coffee cup
Mouse for laptop
Work documents ( not lots but an A4 slip file thing )

Pyjamas
Washbag
Hairbrush
Glasses
Underwear
Change of clothes
Make up bag
Jumper for warmth on train

I think that’s it!!

Might be bigger than you need but I use this for 2-3 day trips when I know I'm going to arrive and then need to walk a bit, go to mtgs etc before checking in at a hotel

I have this one: www.mountainwarehouse.com/voyager-35l-wheelie-rucksack-p15815.aspx/Black/?utm_source=connexityuk - you can't really beat it for the price (there are usually discount codes for Mountain Warehouse floating about online too).

I’ve got a osprey backpack with a laptop pocket. I could manage a long weekend out of it easily, maybe a week if I packed sensibly so you’d definitely manage that list.

I can’t find my exact one but it’s black and similar to this in size and layout.

Thanks for the replies - taco the mountain warehouse one is a great price !
The osprey looks good too but I am worried I need more than a backpack as that may cause me the same back issues as my existing samsonite.
