Restoring black leather handbag

I have a black leather mulberry bag. It’s about 8 years old and has been used daily every winter. It is still absolutely perfect except where the colour has faded as shown. I’d love to get it restored as it would be as new if this was fixed. Anyone have any advice? Can I do it myself? Any recommended products? Should I get it done professionally? If so , where? Thanks in advance

I’d contact Mulberry, they may have a restoration service. Other than that you can get leather dye, usually for shoes.
A bit risky though.

I've read good reports of The Restory, but no idea what they charge.
