Gel nail polish

Hi - just had my first experience having gel nails - thought I'd keep them a month and have it done again yet they're coming off within a couple of weeks! Bit fed up as thought they'd be a bit more durable - hey ho!
How do you get the polish off properly at home? Acetone or something more specialised?
TIA

I would expect them to last longer. I have mine done every three weeks and they always last that long. If you had them done at a salon I would go back and speak to them. I would always recommend having them soaked of at a salon as you can damage the to nail layer if your not careful.

Mine usually last 2-3 weeks I use gloves to wash up. My salon guarantees them for a week. I've taken them off at home and ruined my nails so I would advise getting them taken off professionally

Do you been a gel polish on your own nail?
If so I get mine done every two weeks no chance I would get four weeks out of them.

Gel polish lasts months on my toe nails but 2-3 weeks on my fingers. A month is very optimistic!

Ok thanks I'll get it done professionally 👍

Yes - month is too much to expect IME. 2-3 weeks is more normal, they also grow out so you’ll have a large gap at the bottom if you leave it on too long.

Mine last about 3 weeks but are looking a bit odd by then but that’s only the gap as they grow out. No way should they be lifting.

Get them removed professionally and if possible don’t use one of those nail bars that uses a ‘dremmal’ to remove them!
