Comfy but nice looking loungewear

Our house is freezing. I want to be able to come home after school pick up and put on something warm and cosy, comfortable but reasonably stylish. I am trying to de-slob myself this year but need to be warm & comfortable.
Not expensive, just good enough quality to get plenty of wear out of it.
Any suggestions please?
