Jaeger ‘statement’ skirt

I’m quite taken with this skirt. I’d style it similar to this and probably wear it to work with boots and tights. I do love the quality of Jaeger and though some of it is a bit meh, the quality is lovely. Thoughts?

It’s lovely and like how it’s styled.

The only thing that would put me off is not knowing how often I would realistically wear it. Maybe twice a year tops (wedding guest or fancy night out), so cost per wear & taking up space in my wardrobe!

I’d wear it for work. I have an office job, travel to London quite a bit and I like to make an effort for work as at home I live in gym gear, scruffs and smart jeans and top for the pub with DH.

Lovely. Would work with tights in winter and could work well in summer too with a black t-shirt. I'd buy it if I could afford it!

I love the shape of the skirt and the pattern, I'm not a fan of yellow but that's just because it doesn't suit me!

I just created a thread actually about the poor quality of Jaeger. It used to be great but these days the fabric quality is appalling. Almost everything is manmade yet they still charge the same prices as when their clothes were made of wool, silk etc. And their clothes just don't last anymore as they quickly start showing signing of wear e.g. bobbling.

Sorry if this sounds like a rant against Jaeger. I used to love them and but almost all my work clothes (and a few non-work clothes) from there but now I feel almost bereft. So sad what they have done to the brand.

Ah I don’t find that with the quality at all. I know what you mean about the lack of natural fibres but when they do do them they do them well. My Jaegar coats never look old and I buy a new one almost every year! But I am also sad about declining use of natural fibres. White Company used to be amazing... now everything is a blend

I think that's lovely. It's also an easy way to wear yellow, which always stands out but doesn't suit most people's skin tones. So win win. Buy it.

I have three statement skirts in this shape but different colours/print. I wear one statement skirt a week for work so each one is seen again in a few week's time. Nice to mix up the shapes as I usually wear pencil skirts/dresses with occasional pleats.

I’ve ordered the 8 at JL but I think it might be too small. They’ve got it in Brighton Harrogate and York in 10 but I’m in the NW and they don’t do a postal service . Bugger 😡

I think it’s gorgeous, I wear skirts like that a lot at work too
