Ladies Day at Royal Ascot

Oh dear, please help me oh wise Style and Beauty gurus! Apparently I'm going to Ladies Day at Royal Ascot this year! I've always longed to go as I love looking at the beautiful dresses and hats but even though I can appreciate a beautiful piece of fashion... my personal comfort zone is more New Look cheap and cheerful than designer and chic.

Please help me! I'm short (5ft 3) really small of bust, long of leg and a size 6/8. I have a good waist.

We're not going in the fancy enclosures, just the Windsor Enclosure so I know there isn't a dress code as such, but I'd like to stick quite closely to the Queen Anne dress code so knee length, thick straps, elegant. I have a budget of £100 max.

Would something like the attached suit?

That would be perfect. We have been a few times. You will need a fascinator too.
Put some flip flops in your bag if you are travelling by train and wearing heels, it is quite a long walk.

The dress is lovely - no need for a hat either in The Windsor Enclosure.

Ha, crikey, I've accidentally been stylish for once!

It's perfect. I've been twice and even though there is no need for a head piece in that enclosure a lot of people do. Lovely dress.

You will look lovely. Wear shoes that are comfy, and suitable for grass - wedges or a block heel if you don't want to wear flats.

There will be plenty of hats/fascinators, wherever you are.

Dammit, it's sold out in my size. So, I'm looking for something similar to that then.

I was also wondering about something romantic and floaty but I worry that romantic and floaty tends to swamp me.

Thank you all! I'm very excited!

The Fold sale is on if you like that kind of thing.

I bought a pencil dress similar in a natural colour from pretty kitty for Ascot last year. Great price, looked great and comfortable.
