Footwear for Singapore

What can I wear on my feet in Singapore? It will be hot and there will be a lot of walking. I'm likely to wear sundresses or shorts. My feet are a size 3 with my left being slightly smaller due to an op so birkenstocks are too big.

Any ideas?

I lived in Singapore for 2 years. My footwear of choice was fit flops for walking around in or you could get yourself some walking sandals like I did for a Disney trip.

Don’t forget a lightweight cardigan or similar when you’re out, all the malls, restaurants are very air conditioned and it’s easy to feel a bit cold!

Another former Singapore resident here!

Comfortable sandals/flip flops with the dresses and trainers with shorts was pretty much what I lived in.

Having decent grip on the soles is also important, as the pavements are often tiled and get really slippy after a downpour.

buy something there. There will be a load more to choose from in size 3.

That is very true, it was nigh on impossible to find shoes for my manly sized 7s!

I took my North Face Velcro sandals (good for grip in the rain - the sporty looking ones if you know what I mean) and ballet flats for the evenings which seemed to work well. Plus trainers for days when I knew there would be a lot of walking (of which there were many!).

All the young ones wear trainers weirdly. I wore flip flops because of the heat and my dds were amused by me. I can’t think of anything worse than hot sweaty feet.

I'm under 5 foot. Wonder if I'll have more success in finding clothes that fit!
