Can't find a thread I started ages ago (possibly now archived) when I was having the same problem. I hate shopping, just makes me feel crap about my body when i can't find jeans to fit in the first shop I go to - I just go off in a strop to a cake shop. 
Size 14, waist relatively small, tummy and bum and thighs large.
Wanting some jeans that are wide enough at the thigh so that they're not cutting off blood circulation, but slim enough on the lower leg to look ok. Just basic straight leg - slim ones. I've got a few pairs of M&S Per Una ones but they're too wide at the ankle.
Any clues?
And has anyone been to a Department Store jeans fitting service - there's one offered at my local John Lewis?
