Make up for rosacea

I have recently found a product which seems to be helping my rosacea but my face is still often very red during the day and with acne scarring and a pale complexion it's not a pretty sight.

I'm using Bare Minerals foundation atm but the coverage doesn't seem to last very well for me. Slightly oily skin is probably the problem there.

Can anyone recommend something which has worked for them?

I too have roseacea. On my cheeks and chin. I also used to use Bare minerals powder, but it didn't actually cover the redness when it was in full glow!
I now use The Ordinary serum and foundation

They are both cheap as chips, but don't be fooled, they are great!

Oops, I mean primer, not serum!

I've a similar complexion, very pale but inclined to redness. I've recently started using La Roche Posay Rosaliac skincare which I'm sure has made a difference to the rosacea.

For foundation I've just discovered No. 7 Lift & Luminate. It covers the redness very well but still feels light, which is good for me as I've never really worn much makeup. It looks natural & the colour is perfect, it's like seeing my skin as it was in my 20s, pre-rosacea. My skin is extremely sensitive & I went for No. 7 because I know I don't react to it.

i use antibiotic cream daily that helps with taking care of the redness.
not using much make up anyway, do some brands cause flare ups?

I've started wearing Vichy foundation, which I really like. Good coverage. And not expensive.

Kalme chameleon concealer for Rosacea. It’s a green concealer that changes colour and adapts to your own skin colour. It’s brilliant for calming redness and lasts all day. It also means I can use much less foundation. I’m not sure it’s suitable for very pale skins as it has a slightly yellowish tinge to it unless you use paler make up over it. All the Kalme range is really good for soothing irritated Rosacea prone skin.

L'Oreal CC cream with Rimmel powder over the top stays quite well for me.

Clinique's redness solution foundation is fantastic. I can't recommend it enough.

Dermablend, you can buy it in Boots. Other than that, I wash my face with baby shampoo and use Solantra cream from the GP.

I use metrogel to treat my mild rosacea overnight which keeps it at bay. I also use Clinique redness solutions foundation which covers really well without looking heavy and seems to last ages.

Vichy foundations are pretty good and approved by my derm
