Bar soap and eczema

Hi, I've just seen a few threads on here about people switching from shower gels to bar soap, how it makes skin softer, bathrooms tidier etc.

I would like to go down this route but I have concerns, mainly because I have eczema and have always been told that soap bars are very drying for sensitive skin and eczema so I always use emollient washes or unscented shower gels (mainly emollients).

I also used to find years ago when I did use soap bars that they ended up being messy and slimy.

Having said this I did buy a Lush soap bar a few years ago, the honey one, and it was nice and didn't make my skin worse but I stopped using it because I thought it might start drying out my skin.

I do like the thought of a bar soap though but not for my face, I do believe that is a big no no for the skin.

I use Dove (sensitive if a really stubborn flare up) instead of any liquid hand washes or shower gels to help keep eczema at bay, I find liquid soaps the absolute worst.
