Double Wear foundation alternative?

I absolutely love the coverage of DW but really don't think they have my skin tone matched correctly. I've been back several times to the counter and they insist I'm an Ivory shade but a number of people have now commented that I look like I'm using fake tan on my face.

Anyone able to suggest an alternative with full coverage that is suitable for oily, spot prone skin?

Not too worried about budget as I have various vouchers to use from Christmas Smile

Have you tried MAC? I like their foundation.

I like No7 boots match made foundations - it's the only brand I've found to match my skin colour and skin type.

The Stila stay all day foundation is amazing if you want full coverage. They stock the brand in M&S or various places online

Brilliant thank you both - I'll have a look at MAC and No 7

I have the same problem, love the coverage and lasting power but just can’t seem to get the right colour. I’ve tried lots of different EL counters and assistants.

Great thanks for the other suggestions Smile

It's frustrating isn't it Alienspaceship - I know their shades are on the warmer side but it really doesn't work well for my skin in the middle of winter!!

I loved doublewear but after accidentally smashing a brand new bottle, I decided to find something cheaper. I moved onto Vichy dermablend 3D and was shocked by how great it is!
Now I'm pregnant and can't use the dermablend so I'm back to doublewear 😂

I had this issue so I went to the counter and said I wasn't happy with my shade match and asked for the same tone (I'm a N neutral) but one shade lighter. Bingo - Perfect!
I'm now getting old and DW is a bit heavy on me so I'm using Dior Forever which has a more blendable texture and a more natural finish. I believe they are releasing a new formula soon tho so who knows if that will be as good.

I use the doublewear and mix it with a very pale and moisturising primer. It creates the exact colour I need and with the extra moisture it's easier to blend too.

I moved from DW to Bourjois Healthy Mix - I go between the normal one and the serum one and love them both. I use a setting spray and find it lasts all day - I do use the DW concealer around my nose though xx

Boots own brand CYO foundation is amazing. Comes in some super shades and gives great coverage.
