Are the Ted Baker wrap coats worth the money?

I snapped up one of the Ted Baker wool/cashmere wrap coats (the Sandra coat) in the sale pre-Christmas and I love it, but was wondering how good the quality is.

For those of you who have already bought this coat in the past, has it worn well? Has the fabric bobbled/metal bits fallen off etc.?

The metal bits on the belt are really annoying, ruined the paintwork on the drivers side in my car as it would swing into it every time I got in!

Aside from that it’s great, I just tie the belt behind me as I rarely use it. Has worn well, I’ve had the coat for 4 years now.

4 years would work for me, especially with 50% off! Thank you :)

Have got the mid green and it is so beautiful but just wanted to make sure it would wear well!

Mine is still going strong on year 4. Just be prepared to see at least ten other people in the same each day.

Mine is now at its 3rd winter, still looking good. Definitely good quality and fairly warm.

Ha, yes, I work in the City and I see so many of these coats around. I hadn't even realised they did it in this shade of green until I clocked 5 different women wearing it in the same week (I felt it was a sign when I then popped into the Cheapside store and it was 50% off!)

I got a John Lewis exclusive one with embroidery on the sleeves.

They are every where in the City though I agree.

I got the Coral one (short) the other day in JL and then came home and ordered the blue/navy one (long). Idea is to take at least one back...

Sigh81 · 03/01/2019 19:23

Ha, do you know yet which one you will keep UpToon?

I'm going to keep the navy one. I like the coral but I'm not sure it works with my colouring. Pleased to see pps saying they wear well as even at half price it's more than I wanted to pay, especially as I won't be wearing it anywhere more exciting than the school run!

desperatehousewife2 · 03/01/2019 22:40

I just got the long one in coral today and really like it! Not sure coral is all that accurate though, I’d say more of a rose pink? Have hardly had time to look at it properly though!

Sigh81 · 04/01/2019 06:16

I don't think their colour descriptions are particularly accurate. Mine says "mid green" where really it's more of a deep lime colour (one of my best colours, as an Autumn!)

I love the Sandra coat, but can't get one anywhere as they are all sold out ! Does anyone have a mid blue one in size 3 they would like to sell?
