Just the title really!

Want your thoughts as picked some bits out from the sale I'd like but I'd like to know your thoughts.

I've only had one thing from there. It was OK but it was a basic that I can get similar elsewhere.

Sigh81 · 02/01/2019 16:42

The jersey dresses are definitely worthwhile. I have had some for years, wear them every few weeks and they wash like a dream.

Have had less success with their thinner t-shirts.

The Darton dress (believe they have one in purple in the sale?) is one of the most flattering things I own.

KatharinaRosalie · 02/01/2019 17:17

Definitely worth the sale prices. I have several jersey dresses and tops, and they last amazingly well, still look like brand new.

verite · 02/01/2019 19:16

I buy a lot from there. Never full price - you can always get at least 20% off. I like their jersey tops for everyday wear and they do some nice gathered ones that look lovely under a work blazer. I also like their version(s) of the hush Tara dress as the top is more slim fitting than the Tara and the skirt is longer (I have 4 in different patterns/colours). I love their leather leggings and like their knitwear but think the latter is overpriced so only buy in the sale. It all washes well. The sizing can sometimes run big, but they usually state that in the description.

Oh - their customer service is great as well. I bought an expensive item which split and they repaired it and paid for postage etc without a quibble (no longer in stock so couldn’t replace it). And I have often returned late and always got full refund without issues.

Snowdrop30 · 03/01/2019 08:46

Their biker jackets are not cheap but mine has worn really well - done 7 years now. Beautifully soft, a genuine investment item

BangingOn · 03/01/2019 10:06

Everything I’ve had has been lovely quality, it’s annoying to have to pay for returns though.

Sooverthemill · 03/01/2019 10:18

verite what's the style name of the dress you mention above? Thanks

KatharinaRosalie · 03/01/2019 10:26

It's the Darby. There's also a short sleeve version in the summer collection

0ccamsRazor · 03/01/2019 10:42

I love their dresses, they wash well but they do run a little on the large size, i am a size 10 normally but have to buy their dresses in a size 8. I am tall, 180cm and i find that their dresses are perfect for my height.

MarthaHanson · 03/01/2019 10:45

I bought a double jersey, long sleeve, v necked dress 5 years ago and it’s as good as new. Very flattering - holds everything in - and extremely comfortable.

Sooverthemill · 03/01/2019 10:56

katherinarosalie thank you

verite · 03/01/2019 20:24

Sooverthemill - yes it’s the Darby. I also have the Corine, the Maryana and the Bayham, which are all variations on the same theme (but the last two might not be in stock now)

verite · 03/01/2019 20:26

Bangingon - you shouldn’t have to ever pay for returns. You can always find a code online for free returns.

MoorMummy · 03/01/2019 21:01

I’ve a wardrobe full, mostly Sale stuff. I’m a fan,. It’s not cheap even at sale prices but the quality is superb. All the leather I have ( 2 skirts, 2 jackets and rather randomly , a leather waistcoat are lovely.

Their jersey tops are lovely but was very disappointed I. Their jogging bottoms. Shrank a little in wash and got so baggy at knees very quickly.

banivani · 03/02/2019 19:08

I bought a jersey dress off eBay (to test the brand for cheaper). Good quality fabric, I haven’t come across viscose jersey this good since I think 1998 kr so ;)

However I was disappointed with the style. It’s not a true wrap front, just a sort of deep v-neck with a bit of asymmetry built in. The problem is there’s no adjusting it so I find it hard to wear, it doesn’t quite cover my bosom properly. The ruched sides are also tricky to adjust to be honest and the effect is more frumpy than stylish. This is more due to the model than anything else but I’d look carefully at the style before making a purchase.

ToManderleyAgain · 03/02/2019 19:12

The quality of the jersey fabric is excellent and in my experience it stays looking new wash after wash.

Elledorado · 04/02/2019 00:30

I posted about the dark navy darby dress last year as I absolutely love it. It is way better than the Hush version and the phase 8 version.
