Thanks in advance. I need to remove waterproof mascara and prefer something that will dissolve the makeup without dragging prefer non oily as I wear contact lens.

Baby oil!

The body shop camomile waterproof eye makeup remover is the best I’ve tried but it is quite oily - I have tried lots and find only the oilier (bi-phase) ones work on waterproof mascaras without having to rub my eyes too much.

I smear hydromol on my eyelids then wipe off with a baby wipe. V greasy but v effective.

Carbsnomarbs · 02/01/2019 22:54

I second the body shop one, it is slightly oily but not oily oily

Simple the clear stuff not lotion is brilliant for contact lens wearers & mascara

Another vote for baby oil! I wear three coats of waterproof mascara to give me maximum volume without smudging and it's fab! Gentle and cheap.

Thanks** everyone I will try body shop and simple ones. I have tried baby oil but that can make my lens cloud and smear and it takes hours sometimes half a day or overnight to clear even after using a mild toner afterwards. 😊

Just use a balm cleanser to take your eye make up off whilst cleansing the rest of your face.

That said Nivea double effects takes off my waterproof eye make up you need to hold the pad on your eye for a few seconds and not rub.

I have really really sensitive eyes, I actually get really bad headaches if I use certain make up removers (liz Earle I’m looking at you) so I use lush ultrabland and I love it.

I've used the Simple one (clear bottle, not tube) for years but I don't wear waterproof or heavy eye makeup, not sure how well it would do against those. The simple face wipes are also quite good at removing eye makeup.

The best one I’ve tried recently was Estée Lauder. Simple is also good but not as silky.
