Wardrobe and storage advice

Are you supposed to folder jumpers or hang them? What about t-shirts? Am in the middle of picking wardrobes for bedroom and trying to decide what is best. At the minute I fold t-shirts and jumpers and hang everything else but find the folded stuff gets messed up quickly as I pull things out. I'm thinking it might be easier to just get extra rails and hang everything. Does that damage the shape of things? Help!

Look up Marie Kondo’s advice on clothes storage. I hang dresses and shirts and fold almost everything else - jeans, T-shirts, jumpers etc. The key thing is folding and then stacking them vertically in your drawer. A bit like a filing cabinet. That way things don’t get crushed from the weight of other clothes on top of them, and you can see everything easily, and you can then lift out the one that you want without disturbing the others. ‘Tis genius!

I'd fold jumpers. I normally only hang button down shirts/blouses and some dresses that would crumple otherwise. Everything else is folded. I store everything in my drawers upright so I can see everything at once. Just fold it the appropriate number of times according to the height of your drawers and most things will 'stand up'.

Thank you. Sounds like I need to just need to get better at folding!
