Who is your favourite bag designer?

I'm coming up to a big birthday, and I think I'm going to get a lovely new bag.

I have never had a designer bag before, but after looking at lots of different bags I think I want a Chanel one! They seem to be very expensive though Blush

What are others favourite designers/brands?

LV for me in the past.

Ifonlyiweretaller · 01/01/2019 12:55

I love Gucci. Have a Chanel but to be honest although I love it I use the Gucci much more - I have the 'wallet on chain' in red & it seems to go with everything, whether snart or casual. Whereas I personally feel the Chanel is more 'dressy'.

absinthfaerie · 01/01/2019 19:22

I love Celine and Mansur Gavriel (the latter is more affordable) but i still cant afford either atm.

Impicciona · 01/01/2019 19:27

I have a Bottega Veneta which is very practical. For more rough wear and tear types I have 2 OBags with a few different handles and inserts that probably make them 10 different bags Grin

I like more 'edgy' small designers so brands like Danse Lente, Boyy and Staud. For more mainstream, most of my bags are either Prada or Anya Hindmarch (although I don't like her current range) with the odd Smythson backpack or Proenza Schouler tote thrown in. Can't stand bloody Mulberry although I'll probably get banned from MN for writing that. Wink

DeMellier have some lovely bags

Mominatrix · 02/01/2019 20:29

Hermes - timeless styles with excellent craftsmanship.

LV all the way!

Bakingberry · 02/01/2019 21:19

LV and Mulberry for me. I think LV is a bit better quality and stays looking better for longer.

I've had Gucci and Prada in the past but they don't seem to be as 'fashionable' anymore.

Boredboredboredboredbored · 02/01/2019 21:24

Mulberry for me too.

CatnissEverdene · 02/01/2019 21:35

Dior.

CrazySheepLady · 03/01/2019 00:44

I like Mulberry and Coach. I'd also love to own a Bottega Veneta one day.

Helen0007 · 03/01/2019 02:31

Dior or Celine!

KatesMott · 03/01/2019 02:37

Chanel, have a GST and a 2.55, although cheaper the GST is hands down the best bag I’ve ever had. It’s about 8 years old now and I treat it terribly (even use it as a work bag sometimes), it still looks as good as it was new and justifys the price tag. Can’t say the same about the 2.55

KatesMott · 03/01/2019 02:38

Justifies Blush too much wine...

SenecaFalls · 03/01/2019 02:43

Hermes, preferably a Kelly. But way way out of my price range. I just watch them on YouTube. Smile

Also another vote for DeMellier. I lust after than green one that Duchess Meghan has.

daintytoes · 03/01/2019 03:31

Kurt Geiger have a lovely selection and not too pricey. (Still pricey but not as much as some).

Mercurial123 · 03/01/2019 06:09

Issey Miyake is my favourite. Mulberry quality has declined in the last five years but prices have increased.

saffalass · 03/01/2019 06:16

Hermes and Chanel for my handbags

Xmastummyhasgonebig · 03/01/2019 09:29

I really like a lot of kurt geiger bags, I just got one off eBay brand new for a really good price Smile

My fave is Bottega Veneta. I love that no obvious label on it as well.

golddustwomen · 03/01/2019 10:00

LV for me. I don't own one but it's my dream to finally purchase one! I had a Gucci for years and the quality was amazing.

starfleet · 03/01/2019 14:16

Alexander Wang. I have a Rocco, Rockie and Mini Rockie. More or less the same bag but in various sizes.
