Eye make-up for the over 40s

There are millions of YouTube videos in this! Can anyone pint me on the direction of a good YouTuber for eye make up for someone over 40. I always wear make up but I’m useless at it. Looking for day make up, professional, a bit more than natural though. Thanks.

I don't know about You tubers but I'm 42 & like to wear nice eye make up.

For work I like my Clinique Pop eyeshadow in cream pop, with boots no7 smoky powder eyeliner in brown, I do a little cats eye flick but none on the lower lid.
I wear Clinique black High Impact mascara.

I notice a lot of the younger women (18 - 25) ish often now have lash extensions, micro bladed dark brows & heavy black eyeliner.

I can't bear anyone touching my eyes so the extensions are out, & I'm quite pale so wouldn't look right with thick black liner & dark brows.

But I think the right brows can set off your eye make up well.

As mine are pale & sparse I fill them in with Clinique Superfine liner for brows in soft blonde. I think slightly thicker looking brows can make you look younger too.

Stephanie Lange does some great YouTube tutorials for eye makeup for hooded eyes (if that would apply to you?)

And I adapt a lot of her looks for my late 40's eyes

I follow Sugar Fluff and Puff, she’s lovely and has some great eye make up tutorials.

Thank you - I’ll check out all of these.

There's a lady's channel called hot and flashy. I think she's over 50 but I've followed some of her advice and had good results.

Lisa Eldridge on you tube

Yes, all the above people Lisa Eldridge, Hot and Flashy, Sugar Fluff and Puff are great for ideas also Wayne Goss has an older female friend who he had made up and Pixi Woo's mum has a channel though not much on there I think.

Basically - speaking for myself I gave up on the mega glitter Urban Decay shadows (though can still do shimmer) I do like a defined eye (eye liner) and mascara as my eyes look lost without them.

I like to think us 'mature' ladies can step away from fake lashes, Oompa Loompa faces with brown stripy contouring.

But I don't think it should mean only natural looks as I love a smokey eye and think it suits me.

Plus check out on Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier online as they may have tutorials on there I expect most make up houses do). Lancome and Nars too, Estee Lauder.
