Winter clothes but dressed for summer ?

Does anyone else get annoyed at looking at fabulous winter dresses and skirts that are modelled and photographed with bare legs and in sunny climates?
Most skirts I like are above the knee and look amazing on the models but you'd need to wear tights in winter.
Same with dresses....lovely floaty mid length but would look daft with tights and flats/boots.
It really puts me off buying them as l cant imagine them on a cold blustery day? or am I missing a trick?

Yes it's annoying that they're styled that way but I just ignore and happily wear with boots/flats and tights. No-one's getting me out of those in winter (or spring or autumn)

Yes! It's all cropped jeans, skirts or cropped wide leg trousers on models with bare legs and either heeled shoes or trainers with half a leg of bare flesh showing. Not practical at all for winter, what if it's raining or snowing?
The model will often have a massive over sized chunky knit on top with a skirt and bare legs. Just makes me feel cold looking at it.

Like this for example.. these skirts would be freezing in this weather!

Yep OP drives me mad too.
I love dresses in summer but I think tights are the work of the devil. I see lots lovely winter dresses but always modelled with bare legs then I think bloody hell tights so always end up in my slouchy merino pants on a winters day.

Yes I agree. I was looking at dresses on line and all the models wore strappy sandals and bare legs.
I also dislike those open toed- open heeled boots, what is the point of them?

This really annoys me too. I love the look of a mini skirt with an oversized chunky knit jumper, bare legs and boots but there is absolutely no climate where it’s cold enough to need a thick jumper and boots and not be absolutely freezing with bare legs and a mini skirt.
