Hand bag help !

Looking for guidance really, I have decided to spend some of a recent inheritance on a new handbag I had set my heart on a mulberry but I at the end of the day I can’t hand on heart say it’s me ! I have seen a slouchy fossil that is lovely and prob for me then a very structured mulberry but what other options are they, I am a 43 mum of three farmers wife who works on the farm. Looking for suggestions for a lovely higher end brown leather bag for every day use that will last for a good long while !

I think mulberry bags are lovely and will last far longer than fossil . You can get slouchy ones too and good pre- owned bargains

Russell and Bromley do the Smythtote in dark brown and it’s just as good as Mulberry but half the price! Their bags are excellent and understated. Mulberry have their sale at the moment but unless you are wedded to them, they are still pricy. If you want a Mulberry, Bicester Village might also be worth a trip if you are near enough.

Not sure De Mellier do much in Brown. I also rate Longchamp leather bags (have not checked the colours for you) and I also think Ralph Lauren are well made and they might have Brown bags. They probably have their sale on too. Tods are also well made bags and so are Smythson.

Oh, and also Aspinall.

There’s a lovely clarkson hobo in tan, down from £350 to £175.

I was given a De Mellier wallet for Christmas and I am now a big(ger) fan, tho as a pp said they don't do much in brown, or slouchy. I have my eye on a Coach turnlock hobo which might work (though I can't find it in brown) or the Sutton hobo?
