Has anybody used this and liked it? I don’t think I got the most out of mine. I had to rub it between my hands for ages to even get the tiniest bit of conditioner.

I gave up on it because I couldn't get a lather out of it, waste of money. I didn't like the shampoo bars either.

immortalmarble · 27/12/2018 21:36

Oh that’s a shame.

You have to sit in water for a few minutes before using it. I have mine in a tin and put some hot water in it when i first get in the shower, then it's ready to use when I am. It won't lather, it's not meant to.

I’m a big fan of their shampoo bars, but the conditioner version was shite- it just didn’t do anything!

I rebought their Veganese conditioner instead which I love.

I gave up on conditioning my hair with the Lush bars, but found that they moisturised my legs well after shaving.

thedevilinablackdress · 28/12/2018 08:56

Tried a few times and never got on with it.
Used it up for shaving instead.

AlanaMay · 28/12/2018 08:58

Agree: hard to get enough off the bar and then very waxy in my hair. Would not buy again.
Love the shampoo bars, though they are a bit expensive. I didn't find they lasted as long as I thought they would.

I have the same trouble with the solid deodorant from Lush. I have to drag it forcefully across my pits and I'm still not sure it leaves any residue. Should I be soaking it in hot water then?

SureIusedtobetaller · 28/12/2018 10:16

The bloke in Lush told me to leave my pits damp before using the solid deodorant. I’ve found it works pretty well but not sure it would withstand a full on summer day!

SinisterClownWatchingYou · 28/12/2018 10:22

Love the jungle one. You dont get a lather but I rub it across my hair until there's a clear residue then rinse. Shiny and lovely. Hated the other two!

ZaZathecat · 28/12/2018 10:36

Thanks Sure, I got no advice when I bought mine. I did mention that it seemed very dry though, and was told that's just because the outside gets dry and it would be ok inside when they cut it for me.

Nakedavenger74 · 28/12/2018 11:02

I use a solid conditioner bar and love it. You don't rub it in your hands and hope to get a handful though. Rub the bar directly on your hair around 10 times down the lengths until you feel a residue and comb it through. Lovely silky hair.

thedevilinablackdress · 28/12/2018 11:50

I love the Aromaco solid from. Just needs the rough outside rubbed off a wee bit

immortalmarble · 28/12/2018 12:18

Thanks. I used it again this morning and it was easier - it’s still not as nice as normal conditioner from a bottle but it’ll do. It smells like Parma violets anyway Xmas Grin

I've seen some Hair-O solid shampoo and conditioner in Superdrug (in tins) but they're £8.99 a piece and reviews are mixed .

I did try Lush shampoo years ago ( Godiva I think) but I really didn't like it , my hair felt coated

Ohms11 · 28/12/2018 21:22

I love the Lush Godiva 2-in-1 bar, which is quite conditioning. I have also used jungle and big conditioner bars.. Ok, but not as good as the bottled ones. However, Jungle smells like freshly cut grass, which I love.

furryelephant · 28/12/2018 21:43

The brand beauty kubes do solid conditioner cubes which so far I really like! Never tried the lush ones but I haven't managed to get on with a solid bar Sadthe kubes are so easy to just crumble and use!
