Babyliss curl secret or heated rollers?

I have quite thick hair but it doesn't hold a curl very well. A hairdresser used the curl secret on my hair for a wedding a few years ago but I felt the overall effect was quite poodle-y!

I have 2 x curling wands, the Curl Secret, Curl Pods and CurlFormers.
Curl Pods didn't work well on me but I'd heard they weren't great before buying so not that surprised.
The CS is very popular but I'm a bit mal-co-ordinated so didn't find it so easy. Curling wands are great as you can control how tight or loose you want your curls/waves/ringlets.
Also look at CurlFormers - quite old-school but quite popular in America. I've not used the ones I got yet as I got my hair cut short but the premise seems simple and no heat involved.

I do have a wand but I cannot use it without burning myself and find it very faffy.

The CS isn't always straight forward. For example, if you give it too much hair in one go, it gets upset and then you have to drag your hair out of the mechanism.

I’ve got a curl secret and it’s easy to use but I ind that I use my Toni and Guy deep barrel waver far more. I know it’s not curls but it’s volume and it’s ridiculously easy.

I have both Curl secret and babyliss heated rollers.

Curl secret gives a more structured curl eg for a party but heated rollers are so quick and easy to put in and the curl holds v well as long as you leave them in until they've cooled down.

Ooooh. Could you use that in place of a straightener then?
