Boy clothes

Does anyone have any recommendations for 6 year old boys clothing. I'm really struggling to find clothes for DS. Typically I've always dressed him in tracksuit/harem pants because they're comfortable but I'm starting to feel like he needs a bit of smartening up. I'd like to dress him in colourful skinny jeans/cords type clothes but am struggling to find what I'm looking for. When he was younger he wore boden, frugi, POP type clothes. We progressed on to Xara but the quality is dreadful and now he's outgrown the baby range I'm not as keen on the style. Please help

H&M?

I love Next for both my boys. But through the Directory, rather than in the shop. Much more choice and the clothes are far more interesting than what the shop stocks

I’m in the same boat. Frugi is now to babyish, I don’t want sportswear and everything else is aggressive dinosaurs/ lions etc.

I’ve bought a few bits in the John Lewis sale- cargo pants/ cords and long sleeve T-shirt’s with my neutral/ less aggressive motifs. I buy a bit from Sainsbury’s (good quality for the price).

Thanks. I've bought a few bits from John Lewis and lots from next directory. That was a great tip as I usually avoid next. I love H&M so will get some bits from there also. Sadly hardly anything I liked was in the sale but it was still all pretty sensibly priced

Zara
Gap
H&m
Fat face
M&s have a few nice bits

My youngest is 6, I buy a mix from fatface, joules, converse, pepe jeans, monsoon and next but he's in the older boys section.

There was a mail order business called Guy that had just boys clothes, might still be around

I realise this is S&B, but have you asked him what he'd like - he's 6 and not a mannequin?

Housewife2010 · 27/12/2018 19:13

My 9 year old son wears mainly Boden and some Joules. He likes it.

I love Mayoral clothing. Its spanish and is shipped from spain if you get it from Mayoral direct but shipping only takes 4 days or so

frogintheTyne · 27/12/2018 19:20

Next and Gap are good.

BikeRunSki · 27/12/2018 19:22

Boden
H&M
Some gems in Sainsbury’s
Tootsa McGinty
Little Bird
Always something in Next, but they cater for lots of styles, so you need to rummage

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 27/12/2018 21:01

I failed Hmm I feel like your name is pretty apt. I am aware he isn't a mannequin but I don't recall asking for parenting advice so do me a favour and wind your neck in.
Thank you so much for all the ideas, I have given PayPal a good workout and can't wait for all the parcels coming. He has just shot up and is in desperate need of some new stuff. I think I've been putting off because whenever I get rid of clothes I realise how quick he's growing up Sad

Gap, H&M and Tootsa McGinty all have options.

Ellapaella · 28/12/2018 21:30

I have a 4, 8 and 16 year old boys.
I just got a load of great clothes for the two youngest today on the FatFace sale, jeans, cords, sweaters, tops and hoodies.

Mayoral is great for boys clothes. Also, Benetton have nice smart pieces. They are small fitting though so check the size guide. Gap for casuals - sign up for emails, there is almost always a discount. Ted Baker in Debenhams has lovely boys clothes too.
