Tell me about false eye lashes.

I never wear them, have been blessed with thick, long and naturally slightly curled lashes,( I know, all my friends find it sickening) even have a double layer on the outside edge of my upper eye lid. But I'm curious to see how they would look on me, I would quite like to try them. But have no idea which ones to buy, how to apply them or anything. They always look amazing on other people. If you wear them, please come tell me about them

I wear the eyelure ones (101 for a glam look and 033 for a daytime look).
You get a little pot of glue and you just apply it to the lashes and then stick just above where your lash line is. They look natural and everyone comments how nice they look. Haven’t had any incidents of them coming off unless I’ve been crying.
They can be reused about 5-10 times before needing chucked away as they’ll start to get a bit tatty looking.

Try lvl lashes where your lashes are curled and dyed. I found these easier than using falsies.

My tips for applying lashes are:

  • If you haven't worn them before, go for something natural and lightweight your first time around. Ardell make really nice natural looking ones.
  • Trim them to size before applying. I find I usually need to trim strip lashes by around 0.5cm.
  • Apply the glue, then wait one minute for it to go tacky before you apply the lashes. If the glue is too wet they can slide around. Use a pair of tweezers to help you place them. Cotton buds are also handy for pressing them into place.
  • Once the lashes are applied, wait for them to dry and then smudge a dark coloured eyeshadow along the lashline with a small brush. This helps disguise any harsh lines.
