Tragus Piercing-PAINFUL

Anyone who has a tragus piercing, how long did it take for the pain to go away? I had mine done last week and it's so painful. I feel bruised all around it and the past few days I've had pain in my jaw from it. Is it normal for it to be so sore? I have my nipples, daith, helix and lobes all pierced and none were this painful!

My pain was gone almost straight after the piercing went through, it was probably my easiest healer (obviously a bit of pain when I cleaned it but nothing bad).

Mine was pretty sore, i think most cartilage piercings do take a while, especially as u end up laying on them..
I would say at least 8-10 weeks before it's totally healed

After the instant agony it was a slightly dull ache for a day or two then pretty much down to nothing after a week. Might be worth getting the piercer to check it out if still in pain

Mine wasn’t even that sore when it was pierced, it was more a hit sting for a bit. I think people react so differently to these things that it’s hard to compare.

I had mine done in August and it’s still occasionally painful now. I went back to the piercer to have the Labret changed and she said it was pretty common and to expect it to take up to a year to become painless.

Thank you for you replies! I originally thought it was because the bar was too short but I reckon you're right about it taking ages to be come painless. I figure that's because it's such a small bit of cartilage and it's so close to the face, it's a pain to sleep with!!

Mine was really painful . I needed the bar changing to a larger one as well.
I spent a week knocking back ibuprofens and with a bag of frozen peas on my face .

My cartilage piercings take ages to heal. I have one st the moment that's 6 months old and won't be healed for a while yet. Just keep an eye on it and hopefully it will start mending soon!
