Help me style this dress for Christmas?

I have the dress below

Can anyone help me style it for winter? Specifically for Christmas Day? Could just go with a metallic clutch and shoes but should I put a silky white shirt under?

Depends where you are, how hot the room will be, and how smart you need to be?

Fairly smart, church and home but with relatives coming round in the afternoon. Warmish at home but worried I’ll look a numpty with bare arms at church (fairly modern building but not balmy!)

Little cardi, tights and boots. Nice sparkly necklace?/scarf

Chelsea boots or under knee? Scarf is a good shout, have loads to choose from. Have a navy cardigan...

It depends upon how long the dress is/your height. Either could work. If its calf length it may look a bit frumpy with chelsea boots but if you keep everything the same -they are navy boots [the dress is navy?] with navy tights, it may look fine it may look fine as it doesn't disrupt the line of things. It may also look fine with black tights and black boots. I would experiment with both and see what you prefer. Knee length boots could look nice too.

Navy cardigan sounds perfect. Lovely scarf and either chelsea boots or knee length boots. You could also wear tights with a pair of heels. I would pull my boots out and try on to see what looks the best.

Dress is mid calf, am tallish and slim. Think you may be right about the Chelsea looking frumpy, heels will make it really dressy so longer boots could be a good compromise! Thank you for all the inspiration, will squeeze a trying-on session into tomorrow somehow!
