Best black jeans that stay black

I'm a size 18 and would like a nice slight boot cut pair of jeans.

Every pair I buy fade really quickly.

Has anyone got any recommendations?

Buy a pair you like and when they start to fade dye them black again. Perfect. :)

Black dylon, brings them back to black everytime.

Wash inside out in cold non biological powder. This seems to help retain colour Wink

I will try dylon if mine fade now Grin

My Boden ones have stayed black.

Every pair of black jeans I've ever had from Dorothy Perkins have stayed black. I've been really impressed with them. I wash at 60 degrees too and tumble dry in the winter.

M&S only black jeans that stay black for me.

Deathraystare · 27/12/2018 18:44

Yes, NEXT they did a test between Next Primark,, Levi and topshop on the tv. The next ones stayed black and were £22 wheras Top shop were more expensive and faded quick. I think they came out best.

Gap have an EverBlack range precisely to combat this problem. I always buy mine from there and they never fade.

LoniceraJaponica · 28/12/2018 11:26

I have redyed black jeans with Dylon black machine dye. It works brilliantly.

BusterGonad · 29/12/2018 09:22

Surly it's how you wash them? I wash mine with no detergent at all and powder is by far the worst imo.

Fantababy · 29/12/2018 09:28

I would second Dorothy Perkins for colour but I find they lose their shape very quickly. I've just dyed 4 pairs of black jeans though (Dylon in the washing machine) and can't believe how well they've turned out.
