Comfortable knee high boots?

I seem to suffer from sensitive feet , I find it very uncomfortable to walk barefoot and anything other than trainers just hurt my feet. However I cannot wear trainers for work so rely on insoles. The last month I've been wearing boots and I've been literally hobbling home.
What brand of boots would you recommend for comfort without looking dowdy?
They need to be knee high, flat or low heel, black leather or suede.
Any recommendations greatly appreciated 😀

I wear Tildaa boots from Dune and have done a lot of walking in them and they seem fine

TooMinty · 20/12/2018 22:08

I have Hush Puppies ones which are comfy - black with a low heel.

helly29 · 20/12/2018 22:10

I've got the Timberland main hill boots - worn them all day every day for about a month, really comfy. Pricey but currently on sale I think

ChoctasticFantastic · 20/12/2018 22:11

I like Clark’s caddy belle

Cherries101 · 20/12/2018 22:14

Ankle length flat boots (or chelseas) in black with black opaque tights look the most professional at work. Clarkes do some great ones. So do Schu.

I've had about 6 pairs of Fly London boots and I've worn them all to death. Super comfy
From the minute you put them on your feet

TooMinty · 20/12/2018 22:25

Oh yes, I also have lovely Fly London boots, but they are calf length not knee length.

MoltonSilver · 20/12/2018 22:29

Try ecco

Ispatienceavirtue · 20/12/2018 22:32

Sorry Cherries101 but I've been blessed (ha) with big feet and skinny legs. Ankle boots and tights do not look good on me!

I've just got some lovely Fitflop boots - knee-high, smart and very comfortable.

MyDarlingWhatIfYouFly · 20/12/2018 22:49

Pavers - cheap, ultra-comfy and a mix of some lovely and some hideous 😆 I have some really nice ones from there.

CarolSpatula · 20/12/2018 23:26

You might have plantar fasciitis, which is why your feet are hurting in anything other than trainers? Might be worth seeing someone about the reason your feet hurt and sort that so you can have more choice with shoes? (I haven’t taken my own advice though, and just spent loads of money on Fitflops rather than do the exercises to sort my feet 😬)

sammy891 · 21/12/2018 00:04

M&S have some comfortable ones

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 21/12/2018 00:11

Heavenly feet boots have memory foam soles. Bliss

KittenEsque · 21/12/2018 10:32

Duo

Ispatienceavirtue · 21/12/2018 16:42

I don't think it's plantar fasciitis as my friend suffers from that. The soles of my feet are just really sensitive , like the nerve endings are too close to my skin or I'm missing a layer of skin? There's no pain when my feet aren't on the floor it's only when they make contact with hard surfaces

Fly London. Really comfortable straight out of the box. Loads of different styles to choose from.

Katurah · 21/12/2018 16:51

Heavenly Feet are like walking on little fluffy clouds. By far the most comfortable boots I have ever owned - I have 5 pairs!

BikeRunSki · 21/12/2018 16:55

Smart, dressy, casual, short, long, flat, heel, rude, narrow, size?

BikeRunSki · 21/12/2018 16:55

But Yes to Fly.

lanbro · 21/12/2018 16:59

I've got some Timberland knee highs, I'm on my feet all day and they are mega comfy, cost about £100 And worth every penny

igot99problems · 21/12/2018 17:23

I got these from Moda La Pelle and they are soooo comfortable. They are really cushioned on the sole, a great height and amazing for wearing everyday (even when I'm 8 months pregnant!)...

Sounds like you might have peripheral neuropathy. My DH has this. He is on medication for it and finds that Ecco shoes are the best ones for comfort.

I'd really get it checked out if I were you as you shouldn't be experiencing that level of pain every day.

Ispatienceavirtue · 22/12/2018 00:32

Katura what is the sizing like for Heavenly Feet? There are a couple of pairs I like but just thought I'd check with you whether they can be small or generous?
Has anyone tried Lotus boots?
