this one from Warehouse

Had a c-section a few weeks ago and am bored rigid already of leggings and bottoms with elasticated waists so thought this would make a nice change and could perhaps wear on Christmas Day (ordered online and it arrived today).

Does it look too 70s boho? I know that a midi shirt dress is hardly ground breaking but it’s not a style that I’ve previously worn so am feeling a bit uncertain. Not sure if I would look frumpy/dowdy or would look stylish and a bit on-trend (delusional maybe 😄)

What do you think of it?

Thanks

I like it

CurbsideProphet · 20/12/2018 14:50

I think it looks comfy, but not scruffy. The price is great and viscose usually washes fine. I might order one for me Grin

SecretWitch · 20/12/2018 14:50

I like it, also!

fishonabicycle · 20/12/2018 16:12

Really lovely dress. I'd buy it if I was taller.

expatmigrant · 20/12/2018 17:25

Lovely dress and of all the high street shops I found Warehouse to be the best quality

Luckingfovely · 20/12/2018 17:31

It's lovely

JenMumma · 20/12/2018 17:33

Mmmmm very wintery, it's lush 🙂

WowOoo · 20/12/2018 17:33

What a bargain! Buy it before it sells out...

SuperstarDJ · 20/12/2018 17:35

Thanks all - have hung it up in wardrobe and thrown away packaging so it’s a keeper Grin have spent the majority of this year in maternity clothes so feel like I’ve lost my way a bit! Cake

Oooh! I love that so much that I might actually buy one too!

SuperstarDJ · 20/12/2018 17:36

Ignore the random slice of cake Grin

I really like it but it would look frumpy on a figure like mine of a certain age. I wish I could wear this stuff.

SuperstarDJ · 20/12/2018 17:54

I’m 40 and post-natal CarolMan hence my fear about looking frumpy though unless I’m kidding myself the adjustable tie waist makes it surprisingly flattering considering, plus it means I’ll still be able to wear it when I lose a stone (which will be hopefully v soon)

I'm the same OP. But you may have inspired me to try. Can we see a headless pic of you wearing it?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/12/2018 20:01

Love it.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/12/2018 20:03

I recently bought this which has a similar boho vibe - had to size down massively and the drawstring waist works really well. I absolutely love it! Might go and investigate the purple one - the colour is beautiful.

Madbengalmum · 20/12/2018 20:03

I like it if it is accessorized as the picture, could look frumpy without the extra jewellery and boots.

luckylavender · 20/12/2018 21:55

It's lovely

Justkeeprollingalong · 20/12/2018 22:17

Love it

userxx · 21/12/2018 08:45

I bought a similar style dress from M and S and it's so comfy. Not my usual style but I like it.

Westwing1 · 21/12/2018 17:40

I love the colour, I think you will look stylish and on trend. Great dress for Christmas Day. It is a big improvement on leggings and hopefully should keep your tummy area comfortable.

TodoDoingDone · 21/12/2018 17:50

Lovely! Just what you need post baby and it will see you through weight loss.

I'm thinking of getting it to see me through weight gain. No, not pregnant. Just the menopause and too much Cake and no self control Wink

BestIsWest · 21/12/2018 20:39

It’s really lovely. Gorgeous colour.

Bluesheep8 · 22/12/2018 08:03

I love it! Going to try and find it for myself, you can wear that so many different ways. Knee high boots, ankle boots, leggings or tights. Love to see a pic if you wearing it op.

peachypetite · 22/12/2018 08:06

I think this would loook great with some heeled boots. I'm going to order myself one for work!
