Anyone on roaccutane right now?

I am on day 4 and would love to have people to talk to who are on it.

Today I woke up with an itchy rash which I thought may have been an allergic reaction but the derm nurse said to keep an eye on it and I can come in tomorrow if it gets worse and I am still worried. It is looking more like eczema now though but I am itchy all over.

I woke up with a spot on my forehead that has come to a head already. The initial outbreak is happening already. My face is now starting to dry.

I really didn't expect much to happen the first few weeks, especially as I am on half the dose for a while but it is definitely doing its stuff already.

I look worse right now but I am just happy that every day is one day closer to hopefully acne free skin.

Anyone with me?

I am! It’s my second go.... I think it’s great, I’ve been on 0.5mg/kg for a month. I have lip balms EVERYWHERE otherwise my lips would be a mess (but ok if I use balm regularly). The skin on my hands is a little dry but I haven’t had any cystic lesions on my face for about a fortnight now. I didn’t get much of an initial breakout I don’t think (my skin has good weeks and bad weeks anyway). I don’t think I was getting such an obvious response last time at this dose so the last course must’ve done something. I’m happy to stay on this dose for a while and see how I go, last time I got up to 1mg/kg. I got pretty crispy!

What I particularly love is hardly having to wash my hair. I usually need to do it daily but currently doing it just after exercise. My sensitive scalp loves it!

Good luck, the main tip is to stock up on lip balm so you’ve always got some on you, they get cracked and sore within a few hours if you don’t reapply.

Thank you.

Can't wait to not have to wash my hair so much! My daughter just pointed out that my face is red. I don't think I am going to get away with side effects lightly.

My lips are always dry because I pick them but I am trying to stop before they start drying out more.

I am glad it is working for you :)
