Eyeshadow palette help please!

Hello, hopefully you lovely beauty people can help me to choose a suitable eyeshadow palette.

I have dark brown hair, blue grey eyes and fair skin with reddish undertones. (Irish/Scottish complexion).

I don't really wear eyeshadow often, but would like to start, hence not really having a clue what's good or bad. When I do I gravitate towards shades that make my eyes pop, so medium/dark browns and dark mauve/purple shades usually.
I would like something that can be used day and night - I've been looking at the urban decay naked palettes but they all look very shimmery whereas I would prefer something a bit more matte for day time.
I don't wear loads of make up normally, just foundation, blusher and eyebrow pencil. I'll add mascara, maybe eyeliner and some lipstick if going out.

Budget is about £40-£50 for higher end stuff but I'd also be happy with high street!
Any advice?

I have the naked heat mini palette. I think it's called petite heat. It's mainly warm matte shades, might be worth a look?

Ere Perez Eye Palettes

I have similar colouring to you. Just got the “Pretty” palette, and the dark mauve has a real wow.

Each palette is 50% matte, 50% shimmer. The shimmer effect isn’t massive tbh.

I like the Bobbi Brown palettes and have a few - however I find in palettes I only use 1 or 2 of the colors so going to the counter and getting the 2/3 colors I wear daily is better value in the long run. Also decent brushes are worth the investment - again I use Bobbi brown ones.

Bobbi Brown night drama palette might be what you’re looking for. It’s not as glittery in RL as it looks here:

The Urban Decay Basics Palettes aren’t glittery but it’s mainly nude shades.

For cheaper end, have a look at NYX palettes so that you can experiment with different colours.

I have my eye on this next in the cool palette but the warm palette might suit you better.
