How on earth does one wash and dry a Becca dress?

Just that. Followed instructions and washed at 30° on low spin. End of cycle it was full of water. So quick spin at 1200 - still full of water. Did again at 1400 twice - still full of water. Thought maybe the washing machine was broken but nope. The dress is now spread out on clothes horse which is jammed into bath as fear we may flood the floor otherwise.
Will it be dry by New Years? DH fears for my life if I get caught wearing it in the rain. Xmas Grin
How do the rest of you manage?

I wash at 30 with a low spin as you describe, and it’s always ok - but my spin cycle doesn’t work with only one item in it - it pretends it does, but it doesn’t. Apparently it’s some sort of safety feature to prevent drum getting unbalanced and damaging itself. So I put the dress inside out in a net bag, and put it in with a sheet/duvet cover - basically something non fluffy and not too heavy so it doesn’t damage the dress. Then drape across the top two spars of the clothes horse with a towel underneath to support it. It’s well on the way to dry overnight, although it takes 24 hours to be completely dry. It’s never dripping though.

Aha, that must be it so. Washing machine won't spin with a single item. Thank you ilovecherries. Will remember that for next time. Xmas Smile

The first time it happened to me, I tried multiple times to get it to spin and eventually called the engineer out under guarantee. I was a little Xmas Blush when he asked for two towels, chucked them into the machine and the problem was fixed.

Thank you OP and ilovecherries - I had started to look at prices of new washing machines after a similar lack of spin with one item last nightGrin

Oh wow I never knew about this spinning thing, thanks for the info!
