Help! Coat suggestions!

Hello,

Looking for some advice as husband and I are going to Scotland for Christmas and it is set to be freezing!

Has anyone got any good quality coat suggestions? Willing to spend for an investment garment.

Oh wow!!!! Scotland sounds wonderful. I went before my girls were born and loved it. Was incredibly cold though. I have just purchased an extremely warm coat from Four Seasons London. It was slightly out of my budget but but I cannot fault the quality of the coat. An investment piece for sure.

Any down filled coat. M and S have some excellent ones. Obviously Canada Goose and other makes such as North Face have the name brands, but the M and S ones are well priced and you would stay warm!

I actually bought a down filled coat from Four Seasons. Cannot fault it. Keeps me so warm

I live in Scotland and I have a North Face Arctic Parka which I find really good. But probably a bit expensive if you won't use it where you live too? What about getting a couple of cheaper things to layer? Like a fleece and a down gilet to wear under a thinner waterproof.
