I'm off shopping next week and need some new jeans. I'm looking for black skinnies but would like some that give a nice shape and hold you in. I can't afford a lot, I'll prob be looking in New Look, Dorothy Perkins and similar, any good styles to look out for.

I've tried the Topshop Jamie ones, as I've got big calves/thighs I struggle so they're out. Plus I want to spend less than £40.

The next lift and shape are about £40 and give a really good shape.

I've just bought a pair of black contour high waist skinny jeans in Tesco for £22, I absolutely love them and will be back tomorrow to pick up a few more pairs in different colours.

Bollockingbaubles are you me in Thursday?! I bought a pair of those then and went back the next day for another 2! They are so comfy and fit really well, I love them!

Matalan are great had two pairs and both been fab,fit true to size and stay put and cheap.

Mand S black skinny jeans are brilliant. About £25. Lots of stretch but never go out of shape and shape you! Excellent quality.

I bought some lovely black jeans in Bon Marche. Can't remember exactly how much they cost but way under £40. They fit well & wash well.

Matalan do some skinny black jeggings (although they really are jeans). High waisted so give a nice shape without hip lumps and bumps sticking out

Wow! Thanks all! I have a Tesco near me so I'll try those. How are the River Island ones for chunkier legs? I always assume River Island to be for slim women and I'm not what you would call slim!!

Next black jeans came out well in a test on tv against Primarni, Levis and Topshop. It came out best in the fade test and the rub test.
