Flicky hair products

I have just had my haircut. Hair stylist cut it too short (for my liking) and has put more layers in. When I wash and dry it my layers don't fall in a flattering way, they drop.

How can I encourage my hair to be a bit more flicky? I have added in a couple of head shots of Lulu and some other woman who have defined flicks. My hairstyle is not the same as theirs and I don't have a stylist following me around teasing my hair into shape, but I would like my layers to look a bit defined like theirs.

What products help define layers?

Is there a technique to stop the droop?

Try straighteners and curl/flick the ends ?

My hair is a a bit shorter then those pictures but flicky - to be honest I am not sure how the hairdresser cuts mine but it is naturally very straight and flicks very easily.

However, my lifesaver is my Babyliss Big Hair Petite because you can spin the brush either way so flick it out or turn it under. I am also a fan of Bed Head Manipulator which works really well on my fine hair when it is dry.

Product wise, try Tigi Bedhead. Blow dry with a root brush the use straightener ms from mid length to end to flick out. Ellnet hairspray to finish and a little wax if your hair is thick enough to take it.

Should have clarified. Bedhead Small Talk
