Help! Which products to buy from The Ordinary -

Does anyone have any advice on a good 'starters pack' of goodies from The Ordinary? A couple of friends have recommended it but there is just so much choice! I am 40, don't tend to suffer with acne but my skin can be a little dry. I'd like something to help with the lines and and basically turn back the clock a little!
Any products that you would recommend / couldn't live without??

I'd be interested to know too I've just purchased the silicone primer and azeliac acid suspension. I'm just waiting for it to arrive but I have very dry skin and redness.

I had some of these but went to have an expensive microdermabrasion and my skin and laser clinic (not cheap) and they pointed out that some of the suspensions for The Ordinary are creamy, which means they are usually diluted and the % on the front can often be misleading. They recommended SkinCeuticals instead. Although they are much more expensive I think they have done well with my skin and wouldn't go back. Having said that the last bottle I bought of the activator felt a little greasier than the one before and doesn't seem to spread quite as well...still better than The Ordinary equivalent though.

I like the marine hyaluronics, amino acid, B Oil, natural moisturising factors for my dry, sensitive skin. There's a nice antioxidant I like too, will find the name. I tend to mix it with the moisturizer. Their vit c mixes nicely with other creams too. I have also tried buffet and retinoids...can't get on with them though.

Okay I will admit I'm a bit over invested in the ordinary because they've fixed so many issues for me but I love:

  • sacylic acid. Used daily to prevent blackheads. Haven't had any since.
  • aha bha acid face mask blood red stuff. Use once a week. Makes skin amazing.
  • natual ha moisturiser
  • lactoc acid ' for eczema
  • rosehip oil to moisturise

Am over 40 and feel like I finally get what my skin needs. No spots since I started using any of it.

In use face wash from cerave and night treatments from caudilie so not totally wedded to all their stuff though.

I second the salcylic acid 2% bottle.

The best thing I can suggest is to google “the Ordinary regimen guide” and use the guidance on various websites to work out your own tailored skin prescription. For example:
