(Name change as actual photos of me included!)
I’ve never had especially long hair. It’s quite fine and gets tangled very easily so just gets to a length where it looks ratty and scraggly. It got much thicker during pregnancy and so far hasn’t all fallen out (3 months PP) so I have kept it relatively long but I’m finding the maintenance too much TBH. I do a lot of running and swimming and my hair takes forever to dry so I feel like I spend half my life with wet hair. I have no patience for blow drying it tbh so I wear a lot of buns, ponytails and French plaits. DS has just started grabbing and pulling it too so I’d rather just get myself a nice short, stylish, low maintenance crop however I’m worried about my very round head and looking silly! My hair hasn’t been highlighted since June so is fairly mousy currently too.

Can anyone suggest what might suit me please? I really love a very short messy cropped look but I’m not sure I’d pull it off! I’d also really like to dye it but not sure whether to just go blonder or do something wild!

Please don’t judge my eyebrows too harshly, it’s got to a stage now where they need a serious professional reshaping and I just cannot face taking the baby 😂😳😳😳

I love this 🤷🏻‍♀️ what about icy cold highlights/Baliage for low maintenance?

I quite like the idea of going a bit shorter than that... and having a fringe. Is that mad?

I like the first pic but not the fringe! Have you had short hair before? If not I would cut it short but not add a fringe to start off with, then if you like the length next haircut go for the fringe.

HaircutHopeful · 12/12/2018 15:58

That’s the last time I had it reasonably short a couple of years ago. It’s been longer bob or growing out since then. I haven’t had it pixie cut short for about ten years, in my late teens.

I'm no use what so ever, I just wanted to say how well you look only 3 months after having a baby. Lovely skin too.

Shorter length will be easier and some layers will get it share without having to do too much styling.

Jakethekid · 12/12/2018 16:31

Give it shape*

fringegrin45 · 12/12/2018 18:35

You look great tbh

Sorry I know that wasn't the question!!

fringegrin45 · 12/12/2018 18:48

More helpfully I wonder if the cut you're after is a "shag"

AuntyJackiesBrothersSistersBoy · 12/12/2018 19:28

I love it long. It suits you. Congratulations on your baby and you look great!

Thankssomuch · 12/12/2018 20:57

It looks good in that second picture (I mean it suits you really well at that length, jaw length).

JaneJeffer · 12/12/2018 23:16

This style would suit you

And your head is oval not round so I think the shorter style with fringe would make the bottom half of your face look long.

TittyBoneGhoul · 12/12/2018 23:27

Alexa Chung style above is perfect for the long face shape.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 12/12/2018 23:41

I love the style you picked op. You need to post after photos!

PickAChew · 12/12/2018 23:43

I was about to reply to this, earlier, then got called away by poomergency.

Your face is actually long, rather than round, so research styles with that in mind.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/12/2018 09:47

You look lovely, just the way you are !
Maybe shape the hair round at the ends, just blunt cut.
Do you ever plait it, and wear it up ?
Long hair suits you, you can do so much with it.

HaircutHopeful · 13/12/2018 10:46

Thanks all for your lovely comments. I know it suits me but I’m really not very girly at all and never make it a priority so it’s mostly just in a high ponytail or a messy bun. At best a French plait. I feel like I’m spending a fortune on conditioner too! I also can’t afford to keep having it highlighted whilst on mat leave so my roots look crap!
