Full length wool coat, please help me?

I'm looking for a black, full length wool coat, nipped in waist. I can't find one anywhere other than one on silk Fred which looks a little bulky and one thats £950 which is way way over budget. Everything seems to be mid calf, but I want drama ;)

I like the military look with the double breast, but also happy single breast as long as it makes the most of the waist as I have broad shoulders and anything too straight puts a few dress sizes on my silhouette. Budget up to £250, as I go for classic and it will hopefully last years.

Has anyone seen one anywhere? I' m hoping for next day delivery if I do find one.

The buttons aren't that nice but you can replace them easily and it's got money off at the moment.

Try Jigsaw and Hobbs, both good for coats.

Tara Jarmon is also nice but possibly over budget.

I love the busy one, would love just a tiny bit more length but measuring against one of my coats here it is about 10cm longer which is fab. They have it on Amazon too, I'm guessing thats where you saw the reviews. I think I might order that one to try and keep looking just incase, but the style and tailoring is fab, perfect for my figure. Need to work out sizing, a lot of the review say you can fit a big jumper under, I'm wondering of that would make it a little less fitted than I want but I don't want to look squeezed in, my wardrobe is a mix of large 10 and small 12.

Grumble, that is stunning and possibly exactly what I want, I wish there were more photos! I've emailed for delivery estimates as I need the coat for next week. I might just go with one anyway! I had looked at loads of similar sites but that one had never come up on my searches.

Ohhthepain I've been lusting after it for years. I discovered it just after I'd got a different "this will last decades" investment coat. I hope you can get one time.

Well, the second option had a 4 week waiting time so I went with the first in a 12, I think I would have preferred the waist fit of a 10 but with the broad shoulders the 12 will fit a jumper under whereas the 10 may not. It is a stunning coat for the cost!

I may well order option 2 in the new year though, the first is perfect fr smart wear and business but I think the second one would be ideal for nights out ;)

Just tried on the coat. I got it in the 18 and the 20. The 18 (my usual size) is a perfect fit. It's warm, very flattering and I'm keeping it! I am going to get the back taken in a bit more but the shape is really flattering. I'm a very happy customer. I also got the red pencil skirt which is perfect for work.

Grumble, those DarkAngel coats are fabulous!

The've never had one of their coats (I discovered them just after buying a last for decades statement coat elsewhere but I've had a skirt, trousers and a couple of corsets from them and the service has been great and the quality of the clothes really top notch. If I can ever justify another full length wool coat I will order one in a flash.
