Makeup colour suggestions!

Can anybody suggest an inexpensive brand of makeup I can get at Boots or Superdrug?

I have pale but yellow-tinted skin, very dark brown hair. Not pinky at all.

I normally used to get the palest or second palest shade but I need one that is yellow-based as pinky ones just look like they're sitting on top of my skin.

I stopped wearing foundation because of this but I want some for my work Christmas party! Can anyone help?

Forgot to add - a shade recommendation would also be appreciated!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundations run fairly yellow toned and would be good to try out.

You could go to No7 and get colour matched. It's impossible to recommend shade for you, you need to try some out.

I like their instant radiance foundation.

Bourjois Healthy Mix foundations (not Healthy Mix serum unless you like a very light base, Healthy Mix itself is medium) are yellow toned. I am yellow toned but medium (ish- light medium in winter) so I have No. 53 and No. 54. I expect if you are pale and yellow toned you'd maybe need to look at the numbers before that. It's good though, I have found them the best shades for my yellow toned skin. Blends right in.

Oh fab, thanks. I can get the Bourjois in Sainsbury's I think. Thanks all!

No problem! Also if you prefer a medium to full coverage base then the Bourjois Perfect 123 is a heavier consistency. Healthy Mix is a light-medium coverage (buildable to a very decent medium) and Healthy Mix Serum foundation is light, more of a BB cream type thing.

I am on to the Perfect 123 for winter and it is working great so far as I like a more solid base in winter. If you have fairly good skin and like a medium base then the Healthy Mix is lovely however, it has a radiance to it that would be perfect for a party. I like to set it with a light dusting of translucent loose powder. Rimmel loose powder is very fine and translucent so I can recommend that.

I have used lots of high-end foundations but I am in heaven with the yellow-based choice of Bourjois at the moment as it suits me so well. I hope you find one you like!

Sound like a similar skin tone to me op, I use bourjoise healthy mix in shade 51 and 52 neither give off a pink cast.
