How to wear this jumpsuit

I saw this jumpsuit earlier and am thinking of ordering it to wear on Christmas day and maybe over new year.

I need to have my arms covered and don't want to look overly dressed up or wear anything too fussy that will make me warm and uncomfortable, any ideas?

I'm 30, size 16 and carry alot of my weight round my stomach and bum.

Do you have a black leather jacket? I think one would look great with this jumpsuit!

PinkFizzz · 11/12/2018 20:37

Thanks! I agree, I'll have a look for one.

I should have said in OP I'll be wearing it to SILs house for dinner on Christmas day so something to cover my arms that I can still wear around the house is what I'm struggling with. I like the idea of a leather jacket for new year though.

If you want your arms covered, you can either wear a black fine knit crew neck or polo neck underneath or a fitted cardigan over the top.

Have you tried on? If you feel that you have a bigger stomach and bum, I’m not sure how flattering that style would be.

PinkFizzz · 11/12/2018 21:06

My first thought was a fitted cardigan, would that look ok?

I haven't tried it on but I'm really busy over the next couple of weeks so trying to order a full outfit so that if it suits I'm good to go.

I would wear a fitted black polo neck underneath. You can't sit at xmas dinner in a leather jacket and cardigans can looo frumpy .

Maybe a white tie neck blouse undervit instead of a jumper if that might feel a bit hot? Something like this one? m.shein.co.uk/Self-Tie-Neck-Cuffded-Sleeves-Curved-Hem-Blouse-p-343666-cat-1733.html?url_from=ukadplablouse170307301L&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3IGUluSY3wIVqp3tCh0LzAWOEAkYDyABEgJqYfD_BwE&ref=www&rep=dir&ret=m

I really like this OP, where's it from?

PinkFizzz · 12/12/2018 14:10

Thanks for replies everyone.

I'm not as keen on anything high in the neck as that's what tends to make me feel hot and uncomfortable.

It's from SimplyBe Creme I saw it on their TV ad and fell in love with it.

You could wear a white tshirt under it, in a 1990s fashion?

BusterGonad · 12/12/2018 16:30

Bonus points if it's ribbed!

CakeInMyFace · 13/12/2018 06:53

I wear jumpsuits sometimes and tend to wear polo neck fitted jumpers underneith- I find cardigans etc look awful over the top. If it's not too cold Ill wear a simple long sleeved tee (but a base layer type one) to keep warm.

Primark have loads of that kind of jumper, I have a couple and they wash and wear really well.

peachypetite · 13/12/2018 06:54

OP if you carry weight around your bum I don't think a jumpsuit is the answer.
