Idk but I also had a pair in 1989! (And I loved them then!).

No they are not my style at all.
Find some you really like, lifes too short.

I'd wear something similar but probably in a slightly lighter colour like tan or taupe. I don't tend to wear dark brown shoes and boots, don't really know why.

To me they are definitely suitable for wearing with straight jeans as long as the jeans are long enough!) and they might work with some skirts, maybe with plum or burnt orange coloured tights. I'm not sure if the strap across the front could appear to shorten your legs when worn with a skirt, so it would probably work better with shortish skirts, unless you're exceptionally tall.

No. I'm late thirties and personally feel that they're for an older woman.

Sorry, I think they look cheap and nasty. Are they manmade 'leather'? They look like plastic....and not in a good way.

I found them in the loft recently having forgotten they were there . They were £120 in 1992 and from Russell & Bromley . Interesting to get your opinions !

I was just going to say, my DM lived in boots like that in the 90s with a shirt tucked into belted jeans! They remind me so much of her at that time.

darlingShelby · 11/12/2018 13:54

They are so of that time!
They’re fine. I guess kind of back in fashion?
My 20yr old is rocking all kinds of things l thought had been long forgotten! Grin
