Not really my idea of 'style' or 'beauty' but I've just heard I have to preside at a school fancy dress party as something beginning with F next week. I may need to suddenly turn (revert!) into a professional adult at any stage, so I thought 'fairy' would work.

Anyone seen any good wings, wand etc to fit a size 14-16 woman?

Or, any better ideas?

Farmer? Smock, hat and binder twine belt.

(No idea re fairy wings)

StrangerInAnOpenCar · 09/12/2018 23:16

Thank you! I like Farmer. Party in wellies sounds good to me.

Film star? French maid? (maybe not) Flamingo?

OwThatsGottaHurt · 09/12/2018 23:20

Feminist? Get an "adult human female " T-shirt Grin Or some animal like fox, frog etc depending on the suitable paraphernalia you have lying about at home!!

Agree though farmer might be easiest and most comfortable!

lyinginthesundrinkingbubbles · 09/12/2018 23:23

Father Christmas surely.

And you'd keep the kids under control.

StrangerInAnOpenCar · 09/12/2018 23:33

MrsEric i thought of flamingo - have a very pink dress.

Father Christmas- can't believe I didn't think of that! It's great big teenagers though, which I should have said, and I am SLT so I need to be prepared to get all serious or go to A and E, (v unlikely) without changing.

Love 'Feminist'. Would get eye-rolling, but I might anyway.

What about 'Frenchie' from Grease? Or just French and be very chic!

sirmione16 · 10/12/2018 13:44

How about 1920s Flapper dress? So many out there.

NastyorNice · 10/12/2018 13:47

Flapper? If you have a nice 20s style dress in your wardrobe?

Take a bunch of flowers and some scissors - Florist

Gym stuff - Fitness Instructor

White Lab coat, magnifying glass - Forensic Scientist

All in black with a Top Hat - Funeral Director.

Let us know what you decide to go as Grin

DerelictWreck · 10/12/2018 13:50

I think feminist and farmer are great ideas - or how about firefighter?

I know it's not my place, but please don't go as a fairy! Great chance to show kids what's suitable for a grown adult rather than a 'girl' choice...

Facebook. Just wear your regular clothes.
