Celebrity perfumes (or other cheapies) that are not bogging

I’ve been a fan of SJP Lovely for years and bought a 200ml bottle for £20 in Savers the other day, and noticed the vast array of celebrity scents behind the counter. There must be quite a few nice ones in amongst the toilet cleaner/cat wee and I wondered if anyone had recommendations for a cheap and cheerful treat.

I’ve just ordered J.Lo Glow and Adam Levine, both of which were very cheap from Fragrances Direct.

Used to love Britney Spears Fantasy but would never ever admit to it. Also loved Ariana Grande when someone sprayed some on my four year old in a shop because she admired the bottle Grin it is very sickly sweet though.

Not celebrity but I also love Paul Smith Rose, it’s so pretty.

There are some really good quality celebrity perfumes knocking around, in my opinion.

Sofia Vergara ‘Sofia’
Madonna ‘Truth Or Dare’
Queen Latifah ‘Queen’
Halle Berry ‘Halle’
I like most of the Elizabeth Taylor ones (the diamonds & jewels range smell so much more opulent and expensive than they are).

Jessica Simpson ‘Fancy’ is a cult fragrance among sweet/ gourmand perfume lovers and one of my favourites.

I think if you can get past the branding and (often) naff bottles, you might be pleasantly surprised by what’s inside a lot of them Grin

Sjp stash
Rihanna rogue
Joey essex 😳 did one that I really liked.

Gaggiagirl I don’t think I could live with myself if I bought a Joey Essex perfume!

Elizabeth Taylor’s White Diamonds is lovely.

Poor Joey! 😂

Or any of the others up thread. Just no.

It's not a celebrity one, but I really like the Ghost perfumes. They're often on offer and very reasonably priced. Ghost Deep Night is my favourite.

Well that's just ignorant. A lot of celebrity perfumes use very respected noses and are good value. There's lots of love for some celebrity perfumes on the perfumista threads.

I love SJP Lovely, it really is quite lovely, I've not tried it but Stash is highly rated as well.
Pharrell Williams Girl is gorgeous and can be picked up quite cheaply now.

Come over to the Perfumistas thread and get an education Bubbles. I own around 500 perfumes. I think I know a little about this 💋

Good blog post on celebrity perfumes.

evilharpy · 09/12/2018 19:39

I popped into the perfumistas thread earlier SheHasNotions but left again quickly as I feared for my bank balance Grin

I really like Cheryl's perfumes and I always get asked about it when I wear it.

Foxglove40 · 09/12/2018 19:59

I love Paul Smith Rose - but after reading recommendation on here I’ve been wearing Primark Rose Oud as a really cheap everyday alternative. Getting the same compliments - think it was £8.

SheHasNotions · 09/12/2018 20:04

I love rose perfumes and Paul Smith, DKNY and Body Shop rose perfumes are all very good quality, linear rose perfumes. Depends what you’re after, and trust me I love some eye wateringly expensive fragrances...but
£££ doesn’t always mean it’s good quality or (most importantly) you’ll like it!
